Accessibility
Last updated October 11, 2026
We want everyone on your team to be able to use the Service, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification, or voice control.
Our standard
We design and test to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the standard most accessibility laws and procurement rules point to. Our last full review was on October 11, 2026. It found no known failures on the public pages or in the app. We re-test every page before each release.
What we do
- Every page starts with a “Skip to main content” link and uses headings and landmarks in order.
- Everything works with a keyboard and shows a visible focus outline. Menus move with the arrow keys, pop-up windows keep focus inside until you close them, and Escape closes both.
- Form fields have labels, and hints and errors are tied to their field so screen readers announce them.
- Text meets 4.5:1 contrast and form field borders meet 3:1. Workspace brand colors must keep white button text readable, so admins can't pick a color that breaks this.
- Status messages, such as “Copied”, are announced without moving your focus.
- Animations are turned off when your device asks for reduced motion.
- Pages work when zoomed to 400 percent and on screens as narrow as 320 pixels, without sideways scrolling.
- Sign-in works with password managers, and you can paste into every field.
How we test
- Automated checks with axe-core on every public page, every signed-in page, and every open menu and dialog.
- Keyboard-only testing of navigation, menus, dialogs, search, and forms, run as part of our test suite.
- Checks at phone width for content that would otherwise need sideways scrolling.
Automated tools can't catch everything, so we also act on reports from people who use assistive technology every day.
Known limitations
- The template editor uses a third-party rich-text library. Its formatting buttons announce whether they are on, but some screen readers may not announce every change to selected text.
- Templates are written by each workspace's admins. We provide structure such as headings and lists, and admins are responsible for the wording and links they publish.
- How a copied email looks depends on the email program it is pasted into.
